The cards are entirely in English. The literary quotes are drawn from classic works of literature.
How long does shipping take?+
Orders are dispatched within 48h from our bookshop in Mojácar, Spain. European orders typically arrive in 3–5 days; international orders in 5–10 days. Delays due to customs or couriers can occasionally occur.
Can I return them if I don't love them?+
Yes — we have a 30-day return and exchange policy. Cards must be in new, unused condition in their original packaging. Return shipping is at your own cost. Email us with your order number to start a return.
Are these good as a gift?+
Absolutely — they come in a beautiful magnetic-closure rigid box that looks wonderful under a tree or on a shelf. Many customers buy them specifically as gifts for book lovers, couples, or anyone who values good conversation.
How many cards are in the deck?+
There are 49 cards in each deck, each featuring a unique literary quote and a thoughtful accompanying question. Printed on 350gsm premium cardstock with protective varnish and rounded corners.

Our story

Born by the sea, in a bookshop in Spain.

I’m Antonia, the founder of Sunny With a Chance of Books, an independent bookshop on the coast of Andalucia, Spain. Since opening our bookshop in March 2024, I’ve been surprised by how often conversations start from a book but quickly turn to the big things: our values, our happiest memories, childhood, creativity, joy. I found that books can help people connect, and if you’ve ever been part of a book club, I’m sure you’ve felt this too.

We created our Literary Conversation Cards with this in mind, to start conversations from quotes and see where they lead. So when you open the box, I hope you’ll be surprised, think about things you don’t always find the time for, and perhaps find out something new about someone close to you.
